Service & Hospitality
Cooking and eating are meant to be shared and an E X P E R I E N C E. When you eat at Chez Genèse, you can expect to relax, take your time, and enjoy. We want you to feel at H O M E.
We love food and the simple elegance of French cuisine. We cannot wait to feed you!
Grab & Go:
Out of respect for our guests dining in, we do not accept or fulfill to-go orders off our main menu when our cafe is on a wait-list. But, you can skip the wait and grab something at the front counter from our display case. We currently offer daily quiche specials, potato tart, a variety of desserts and pastries, beverages, yogurt and multigrain jars.
We love to help with special orders! Please see below for our current order schedule:
Whole Quiche - 24 hours in advance
Whole Potato Tart - 24 hours in advance
Sandwich & Salad Catering Orders - 24 hours in advance
Bread & Pastry Orders - 3 days in advance
Macarons - 3 days in advance
Do you accept reservations? No, we don't! We are first come, first serve.
Where should we park? Street parking on Elm Street is 2 hour and free. Lewis Street also offers additional free 2 and 4 hour parking. And, there is a paid parking lot at the end of Lewis Street, if needed! There is a handicap spot right around the corner from us on Bain Street.
Do you offer Gluten Free options? We do! All of our egg dishes can be GF (if you take away the toast!), and all of our salads and dressings are gluten free. AND, almost all of our desserts are gluten free. We also offer several vegetarian options. Vegan is much harder to do and stay true to our French concept though, so we don't have many options in that area!
Where do we tip? You don't! In keeping with French tradition, we are tip free. Our staff are all paid a living wage, so our best thanks is a kind review or friendly smiles and compliments.
When are you going to open for dinner? As of now, it's not in our plan! We love being breakfast and lunch and keeping our space free in the evenings for private parties, events, or workshops! Once a month; however, we break tradition and host a dinner on the First Friday. Each dinner has a different meal that is highlighted and announced ahead of time on our Facebook and Instagram accounts.
Do you sell gift cards or gift certificates? We do! You can purchase physical gift cards in the restaurant or purchase digital gift cards below.
